Women are projected to dominate the ranks of Australia's medical and healthcare professions within 30 years.
The number of female GPs is forecast to jump by 250 per cent, from 24,000 to 56,000, by 2038.
This compares to just 65 per cent growth in the ranks of male doctors.
The proportion of women dentists is expected to more than double.
