About Us

My Medical Career is an online career planning portal for Australian medical students and junior doctors. Our goal is guide you through the process of selecting and achieving a career which best suits your interests, skills and lifestyle needs.

Finding reliable information about training programs and medical careers is sometimes difficult, and usually very time consuming. In an environment with long working hours and high stress levels, medical graduates find themselves making important decisions with long term implications based on hallway anecdotes and well-meaning but often biased advice from colleagues.

This website was created by young doctors with the input of senior clinicians to address this deficiency. It provides up-to-date information on training program requirements and life after you are qualified, and a step-by-step framework for career planning.

With an ever increasing array of medical specialties available, there are career paths to suit the vast majority of medical graduates. My Medical Career provides a reliable one-stop source of information which can streamline the process of evaluating your career options and successfully implementing your medical career plan.

Good luck finding your medical career!
